Why did Ms. Finney not take back her job
She wanted to get her degree and thinks it that its more important.
Why did the school not let the students take action in getting her back in school.
Because Mr.Stone does not want the teacher in his school and was going to do everything in his power to prevent her from coming back.
Why do you think Ms. Finney got kicked out of the school.
Because she did not say the oath and had a different way of teaching

So this time i was super summarizer and this is my summary: After Nancy's party Marcy gets kissed by Joel. The very next day Joel's father joins their side to fight do they bring Ms Finney back. Two days after this it is the big day that Ms Finney will go to court so they decide if she is going to stay or be fired. Martin (Marcy's dad) sabotages the car so that they are not able to go to the court to support Ms Finney, but they will go with Joel and his father to the court. There they see Ms Finney sitting with her friends. The judgement started and they said that Ms Finney was unpatriotic and that she did not teach the students the proper way. Ms Finney defended herself by saying that she was patriotic and that the way she teaches the students was the fun way that they enjoy to learn with that way and that her students have been learning a lot of stuff since she came to this school. The decision was made she was not fired and she was still able to teach English to the school. She gave a speech, she said that she wanted to thank everyone that supported her but she was not able to teach to this schoo, anymore because the would watch her closely and if she made a little mistake she would be fired.
Language and Literature-illustrator Task

Language and Literature-illustrator Task:
My task was to choose a scene in the book and illustrate
a drawing of that scene (I illustrated what it reminded me of).
The drawing could be a painting, sketch, comic or
stick drawing. I decided to illustrate a sketch based on what It reminded me of
and it reminded of me sleeping late in Finland because the event was over there
for I didn't have to wake up early. To trigger this scene Marcy’s mom from
chapter 12 on the first page said ‘Marcy. I let you sleep late today, but it’s
time to wake up.

My job was to come up with four or five questions related to what section or section of the book we read. And then I have to put my own answer and some of my group's answers.
1. When Marcy woke up on the day of the hearing, what type of sickness did she have?
My answer: She had a stomachache and headache
Group answer: Cold, stomachache, headache
2. Does Marcy's dad agree on how much support his wife and daughter are giving to Ms. Finney?
My answer: No, he thinks Ms. Finney is a bad example of how a teacher should behave.
Group answer: No, he thinks Ms. Finney is a bad example of how a teacher should behave and he even broke down the car so Marcy and her mom had to go with their friends to the hearing.

Connector job by Matija Z.
Connector
I connected the part on page 127 when Marcy reads the papers
about Ms. Finney. I can connect this
with a memory from 4th grade when my mom showed me the papers of the
new teachers. I saw the stuff they did and graduated. Unfortunately I don’t
remember any specific information about those teachers. Another connection that
I made was that Every time when they mention P.T.A it reminds me of our P.T.S.A
but just this that one doesn’t include students. I also connected the part
where Marcy doesn’t consider him anything more than her close friend. I
consider Rin as a close friend who will
help me in time of need and I will be there to do the same when I can. I also
thought the part where Marcy says she’s not a blimp but a helium balloon. The
last part that I connected was at the very end of the book where she names her
pimple it reminds me of my old friend from soccer practice he named everything
he owned his bag shoes and called them twins. Bit weird huh well that’s my
connector job

Caleb Ockman-Super Summarizer
For my second job, I was the super summarizer and I have to summarize and mention the key points of what I read. We read from chapter 11 to chapter 15.
What happened was that Marcy, her brother Stuart, and her mom went shopping for a party dress ,jewelry for Marcy and shoes for Stuart. But Marcy told her mom that it exposes too much of the obesity she contains. So she chose purple jeans and a shirt. When they got home, Marcy went right to her friend Nancy's house. She told Nancy that she couldn't dance for the party the next night. So Nancy taught her how to dance.
The next day, Marcy had to babysit Stuart the whole day. They went to the playground and hung out.
When they came back, their parents arrived and the family ate dinner together. Then Marcy went to the party with Joel. They met Nancy's new boyfriend, Phil who was a tenth grader. They then just hung out and drank beer. Then Joel and Marcy talked privately. Joel said that his parents were divorced and that he hated his mother a lot. And he told the whole story about the divorce.
Then they left the party and went home. Joel kissed Nancy on the way home on the head and they went their separate ways.
Key Points
1. Marcy does not like dresses but jeans.
2. Joel likes Marcy.
3. Joel's parents are divorced.
4. Her dad gave Marcy a talk about being good and shook her hand which is an improvement for him.

The connector by Edwin

Task:
I was assigned
a job in literary circles which was Connector; the connector basically finds
connection between the book and real life and writes about them due to experience.
I did and here it is.
Connector:
Chapter 12 page 88, In this chapter the author
describes how Marcy the protagonist hates shopping but loves clothes, she hate
shopping because every time she goes shopping, she never find her size especially when she spot something she
really admires at the corner of her eye. She also hates shopping because of the
places she has to shop at, she has to shop at the cubby section because of her
weight issues and she has to shop for a dress that she hates because she looks
even chubbier.
-
---Connection
to the real life
I can relate to what she’s going through because back
when I was chubby and above average, in Africa I had to buy things that were above my age size. I remember this one specific time that me and father went to
Shoprite in Lilongwe by the side shops to see if we can get me a pair or two of
shoes but we couldn’t, this is because my size wasn't right for me since I was
chubby and the size above my age was too big. Instead me and my father decided
to go back home which was disappointing and just real sad. 3-4 days after my
dad presented me with a basket to shoes to pick from and I picked all of them,
this was only because I knew that other moments of getting shoes just like this
were rare, and I was right after that I never got another moment just like that
one so I believe that the reason I got shoes to pick from at home was because my
size was rare and he didn’t like to traveling long distances to shops for
things that are pretty most probably aren’t there. ………………………………………………………………………………………………………The

The answer is because she thinks she looks terrible in it and because she is really ashamed of being in the chubbies section

The answer is better because they had an actuall calm conversation without him yelling to her and ended up better than before
4.How does Joel see Marcy?

5.How does Marcy's mom behave to her the last days she is hanging out with Joel?
